Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2013, I was invited to the technical rehearsal for the lights and sounds sans fireworks in preparation for the big night ahead. The venue would be at the Esplanade.

| Concert @ Celebrate December |
There was a concert performance for
Celebrate December at the Esplanade. I was amazed by the atmosphere with the lighted wishing spheres as the background. This is certainly the place to be to get up close and personal with the New Year Eve celebration.

I was there at the event with fellow official blogger
Darren from Darren Bloggie. We were bought to the rooftop of the Esplanade where the command center was located. We met up with George Panait who is in charge of the lights. He is the main man behind the magical lights and had been on this role for the last 4 years.

We were treated to a change of lights projected on the Wishing Spheres. This would be part of the actual day show together with the fireworks.

I even spotted a familiar sight from across the bay. The skydancers from GoFlykite.

The sight of the ever-changing lights on the wishing spheres is a sight to behold. I would imagine that the 8 minutes long fireworks for the night would be a spectacular sight.

Do note if you are following the countdown, you may want to adjust your watches to GPS time as we were told this is what the start of the fireworks will be based upon.

| Bay of Hope and Light |
Be at the Bay of hope and light on New Year Eve to witness Singapore's most spectacular Fireworks show for the year. There are parties line up around Marina Bay. Most performances are complimentary for the night. For more information, refer to

| Performances awaits |
Do not fret if you could not get a seat as the crowd could swell to 500 000 for the night. There will be pockets of spaces with projectors that will screen some footage along Esplanade.
As for us, we will be located at the Esplanade for the night. Do wave and say hi if you spot us!
