Mad Science 'Space Frontier' Party Review

SPONSORED REVIEW
Kids birthday parties can be quite a cliche. Indoor playground, magic shows, face painting , party balloons are the standard birthday fare for kids. If you want a party that truely stands out in terms of fun and educational element, Mad Science birthday parties might just fit the bill.

We are no stranger to Mad Science Parties. 3 years ago, Big C had the privilege of hosting one in his school. His Mad Science birthday party : Dinosaurs was such a hit with the kids and teachers that it had been the talk of the school for the past few years. So when Mad Science decided to throw a party for Little Lou for his birthday party at the same school , it was hard not to get excited over it.

The theme for Little Lou's party is 'Space Frontiers' . Mad Scientist Alessa was the one that conducted the session with her assistant.

It may be tough controlling a group of 25 pre school kids, but the Mad Scientist got their attention from the very beginning with her engaging tone and pace.

Kudos to that!

All eyes on the Mad Scientist

The first activity was the introduction to the Solar system.

From a simple activity, the kids learn about the planets in the solar system.
Spot Earth
To further reinforce the lesson, there was an interactive activity where the children were made to stand in a row. Each child was to 'wear' a planet around their head and they stood in accordance to how far the planets are from the sun.
Guess the planets
We like how each planet is sized accordingly and with each child standing in line, it does help the little ones to visualise the solar system.

The next activity is to show the children the stars.

It was a tad bright, but the children went wow when they saw stars formed from nowhere.

Next up is a sing along.

The song is about the planets in the solar system. It is a great way to help the children remember the planets.

After the 'lessons' , we headed outdoor for a hands on activity- Giant Bubbles!

Giant bubbles
The Giant Bubbles is not part of the standard 'Space Frontier'. Due to the large number of kids, it was introduced to replace another activity.

Check out the giant bubbles made by Little Lou!

And for the finale we have a rocket launch.

1, 2, 3 .... Blast off!

It was a sight to see the pet bottle blast into the sky!
Blast off
Overall it was an entertaining session for the children. Not only did they enjoyed themselves, they had also picked up some space knowledge that is educational and useful. Each child even got a small souvenir in the form of a mini 'rocket'.

For a unique educational birthday party, Mad Science will be difficult to beat!

Other than birthday parties , Mad Science does cater to other private events in school or at home too.
