Breaking : 7 Schools Reported NEW COVID-19 cases, all 7 will have HBL till May 28



There are now 7 schools that have NEW Covid-19 cases.

Following the disclosure of 4 students from Learning Point tested positive, there is a slew of new cases popping up in Primary schools all over Singapore. Primary school children are not vaccinated and thus are not immune to Covid-19.

The affected schools are as follow

Kong Hwa Primary School

Location: Guillemard Road

2 new cases, bringing the total up to 4

The 2 cases are close contacts of a confirmed case outside of school

Yio Chu Kang Primary

Location: Hougang St 51

1 new case, bringing the total up to 2 cases.

The case is linked to EduFirst Learning Centre (Hougang Branch)

Palm View Primary

Location: Compassvale Bow


One new case 

The case is a close contact of a confirmed case outside of school

St Andrew's Junior School

Location: Francis Thomas Dr



2 new cases, bringing the total to 3 cases

Both were in close contact with an earlier case from the school. This is possibly the first case of transmission in school


St Margaret's Primary School

Mattar Road

1 New case

The case is a close contact of a confirmed case outside of school. 

Yu Neng Primary School

Location: Bedok North St 3


1 New Case
The case is a close contact of a confirmed case outside of the school.

St Stephen's School
Location: Siglap

St Stephen's School will also extend HBL. Unfortunately, we do not have access to the Letter for details.

All affected schools will have HBL from May 17 to May 28.

Unlike the previous cases where the concentration was in the East, the location of the schools is all over Singapore.  It remains to be seen if HBL will be made mandatory in all schools.
