HBL to be extended to May 28 for selected schools hit with Covid-19 cases
Kong Hwa School
2 more students at Kong Hwa were tested positive for Covid-19.
Base on the school letter addressed to parents and guardians, 4 students from 3 different classes were tested positive.
Earlier reports had 2 students tested positive from Learning Point. The latest 2 cases are also mentioned as closed contacts of a confirmed case outside of the school. This implied that transmission of the virus was outside of school. If all 4 had the same contact, it would mean that the cluster at Learning Point would have increased.
As a result of this, HBL for all students will be extended from 17 May to end of Term 2 on 28 May.
The additional 2 students should be in today or tomorrow's count for local community cases.
Yio Chu Kang Primary
Yio Chu Kang Primary will also be extending HBL.
Based on a letter to parents and guardian, there is another student tested positive for Covid19. This is linked to EduFirst Learning Centre( Hougang Branch). Previously Yio Chu Kang Primary has a positive student case with a link to an existing case which is a household member.
EduFirst Learning Centre was NOT listed as one of the tuition centres with confirmed Covid19 cases. Thus, this is a relatively new discovery.
As a result, HBL will be extended till 28 May.
Palm View Primary
Palm View Primary will also be extending HBL till 28 May.
Based on a letter to parents and guardian, there is a student tested positive for Covid19. The student is a close contact of a confirmed case outside of school
Other schools affected

- St Andrew's Junior
- St Margaret Primary School
We will update you with details once we have additional information on the affected schools.
