List of schools reported with COVID-19

The past 10 days had seen schools with reported COVID-19 cases.

As many have recalled, school transmission was the main reason why Phase 2 Heightened Alert was introduced back in May. This time around, the Phase 2 HA was triggered by a new wave spearheaded by Jurong Fishery Port and KTV clusters. Nonetheless, due to the high possibility of transmission among students, schools should be monitored as well.

Do note that symptoms for those under 18 are usually MILD and non-life-threatening. The main concern is the transmission of the virus to family members who are not vaccinated.

This is the list of schools that we had tabulated over the past 10 days since Phase 2HA was announced. The list is not exhaustive. As per MOH report on 23 July, there are now 49 cases of infection for children under 18 (up from 39 the day before) and 32 of them are under 12 ( up from 26 the day before). We only include schools that we had verified through news reports or school notifications. As of today, there are 16 known cases vs 49 cases of infection under 18 years old. The number of actual cases in schools could be much higher.

The list was compiled to help parents and students to monitor any possible interaction via internal or external activities such as tuition/enrichment classes. In the meantime, be responsible. If you, your child or anyone in the family has any symptoms, please see a doctor immediately. The responsibility to stop the spread starts with us. The risk is not on the children since symptoms are usually mild but on families of the children who are not vaccinated.

Stay safe!
