When the month of November pass, one eagerly awaits the start of the Christmas Season. To soak into the atmosphere and get into the Christmas spirit, we gleefully accepted the invitation from Shangri La to attend the Gingerbread House Workshop.
It's time to create our very first Gingerbread house!
Gingerbread House Workshop @ Shangri La
This is the third year running that the Gingerbread House Workshop is in session. The event is held at Shangri La's The Line Shop. Set in a cosy setting, the workshop will commence every Saturday and Sunday from 3- 18 December.
Santa is there too , to oversee the proceedings.

Each child is provided with their own Gingerbread Startup kid which includes a mini chef's toque and apron as festive memento.
The Gingerbread house will only be complete if you can decorate it.
There are plenty of toppings the kids can pick from.
Snowman candies, jellybeans, marshmallows, chocolates , candy bars,
Santa sweets....these are just a 'few' sweet treats you can choose from.
With delectable sweet treats to decorate the Gingerbread House, it is
easy to see why the boys enjoy picking their favourite toppings for the
Gingerbread House.
With the selected toppings chosen, it is time to start building the Gingerbread house with a little help from Area Executive Pastry Chef Herve Potus.
This is billed as a parent child workshop. At their age, I would prefer to let them use their own creativity to create their own masterpiece.
And create they did!
The workshop is a 2 hour session , so take your time to decorate the house.
After a few quick touch up, the house is almost ready.

The Gingerbread House decorating workshop is conducted at The Line Shop on 3.4.10.11.17 and 18 December from 330 to 530pm and price at $98nett per child (3-12) . The two-hour workshop includes festive light refreshments, and each
child may also bring home their completed gingerbread house and a mini
chef’s toque and apron as a festive memento.
