Luxor Hotel Las Vegas New Tower Room Review

Fancy staying in a Pyramid?

You can if you are heading to Las Vegas.

During our road trip in California, Las Vegas was one of our stop on the itinerary.  Luxor was our chosen hotel. With the Egyptian theme and pyramid-style structure, it set the mood for a wacky Las Vegas holiday.

TOWER ROOM
Towers @ Luxor
Luxor hotel has 2 room types. The older rooms at the Pyramid Section and the newly remodelled rooms in the Tower section.  For our stay, the Tower Premium Queen Room was our choice as it comes with 2 queen beds that sleep 4 comfortably.

The Tower Premium Queen Room is about 41sqm.
Tower Premium Queen Room

It's a good size room for a family of four. Each room comes with a TV, safe deposit box, a bathroom with tub. The modern look is a good upgrade from their existing pyramid rooms.

The room comes with the standard toiletries and towels. Toothbrush and toothpaste is not included.

If you are looking for a minibar, it does not come with the room. In addition, bottled water and kettle are not included as well. Our advice is to grab a couple of gallons of water when you are en route to Las Vegas as water can be pricey in the desert.
View from the Hotel

In terms of comfort, we are relatively happy with the room. Most of the time, we are out exploring Vegas. Nonetheless, we had plenty of good night rest in the room.

Pool at Luxor

As we were there during winter, we did not use the pool. The pool are opened to guests in other seasons. You could book cabana there for a small fee as well.
Mezzanine Level
For entertainment, head to the Mezzanine Level for performance such as the Blue Man Group, Bodies the Exhibition and more. There is a food court at the Mezzanine level as well.

There are other food options within the hotel itself, but since we were out exploring, we did not visit them.

WHAT'S NEARBY

Luxor Hotel is located on the strip. It may not be on the middle of the strip, but if you are heading to Vegas with kids, this might be a better stretch to stay in with nearby attractions suitable for kids. Here are some highlights that are suitable for kids.

Fun Dungeon at Excalibur
Excalibur Link-way

The Luxor is linked to the Excalibur via a linkway. The best part is that there is a good size arcade - Fun Dungeon filled with arcade and carnival games within a 10 minutes walk away.

New York New York

New York New York is located across the bridge. Head over for Hershey's Chocolate World and the Big Apple Coaster World.

M & M World

M & M World is located just opposite the street. While you are there, you could also explore the Coca cola World and Hard Rock Cafe.
Coco-Cola Store Las Vegas

Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

Head over to the other side of Luxor and you could visit the fame Shark Aquarium at Mandalay Bay.

Watch Cirque Du Soleil

Catch Ka - a Cirque Du Soleil performance at MGM Grand located diagonally across Luxor.

This part of the strip may be quieter compared to the centre of the strip. However, in terms of experiences for kids, Luxor might just be the right place to stay.
