Craving for Shepherd's Pie?



Every once in awhile, we like to get our hands on comfort food and Shepherd's Pie is one of them. Usually, we only get to sample it during Christmas gathering but it would be fit for all occasions.  You can opt to make one yourself at home which we are told would be a laborious process or you could simply order it from Shepherdspie.sg, an online store that has its baking roots since 2011.



There are 2 types of pies you can order, the Beef Shepherd's Pie and the Chicken Shepherd's Pie. There are 3 sizes for you to choose from. Go Massive for a 9 x9 inch pie that is good for 4-6 people, medium for a twosome meal or mini to have a sample taste for one.

Since we are able to sample both the Beef and Chicken Pie, here are our thoughts on them.

Beef Shepherd's Pie

The Beef Shepherd's Pie that we had come in a medium-size (Promo Price $19.90) Filled with cheesy warm yet soft potatoes on the top, it is one you need to savour while it is warm. Kudos to the delivery that kept the food warm when it arrives.

Inside, the beef, mixed with corn and carrots were flavoursome. The 2 boys aka The Wacky Duo lapped it up even though vegetables were not their choice food. It is a tad spicy due to the pepper in the pie.

Chicken Shepherd Pie

The Chicken Sheperd's Pie delights as well. The mashed potatoes toppings were equally consistent as the Beef variant.

The Chicken Pie was less pepperish and more palatable for the younger ones.

On hindsight, we should have ordered the Massive version ( Promo Price $31.90) given how fast we chow down .

We did order a mini chicken pie (Promo Price $4.20) that was reserved for desserts for another meal.
