Dlink has a new camera- DCS-8330LH. Billed as mydlink Smart AI Full HD Wifi Camera, it is the successor to DCS-8300LH and the first camera of their range to have AI-based IVA Motion Detection for smarter Motion Detection.

AI-Based Detection
This new AI interface brings a more advance and intelligent motion detection. Instead of just highlighting the area to detect motion, you can now customise it using the app for the following
1) Multi-zone Motion Detection
Up to 4 zones can be created and monitored
2) Boundary - Crossing Detection.
You can create a flat line on the image and when a person crosses it, motion detection will be triggered
3) Priority Zone
This is great to monitor kids or pets. You can select a zone to monitor it the object crosses away from the set boundaries, a notification will be triggered.
Smart Home Compatible
It works with Smart Home devices such as Assistant Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT, you will be able to stream live video from your camera to Amazon Fire TV, Echo show, Echo Spot or Google Chromecast
True Full HD Clarity
You can set it to record in 1080p at 30fps, giving it a better video quality. The range of view at 151° gives you generous coverage compared to the older models.
Video Recording to MicroSD Card slot or cloud
There is a MicroSD card for you to record videos. You can also record via the cloud and view the footage anywhere using the app. Free remote access with the mydlink app is also provided.
Adjustable Angle
Unlike most fix lens, this camera comes with an adjustable tilt that would make positioning it much easier regardless of the surface it is placed on.
Records Day and Night
It can record up to 5 meters in the dark.
Build-in two-way audio
You can hear live audio from the camera's live view and speak through your mobile device to anyone near the camera
Build in Smart Home Hub
You can extend the capabilities when you combine with other dlink devices. Connect to the range of Wi-Fi sensors, Smart Plugs and camera to have a complete full surveillance solution.

Usage
The unit is set up in less than three minutes using the mydlink app. Once is it set up, its easy to set adjust settings such as motion detection on the app. Loading on the app for Live view is relatively faster compared to the older models.
The DCS-8330LH will be great to use for monitoring a single room such as Living Room and Bedroom. With AI motion detection, it would be perfect to monitor kids with it.
