Siglap Linear Park : Runnning Route

Planning for a run?

If you have followed our Facebook, you would have noted that Dad loves to find new spots to run every weekend. From Bay East Gardens to Park connector, I have been trying a different route every week. Since this is the case, it will be great to share the places I run with this new running series.

The first in this series will be Siglap Park Connector.

Only 1.5km long

Siglap Linear Park is only 1.5 km, making it an easy run for beginners.  You could make a loop for 3km. The Park Connector stretches from the end of Swan Lake Ave through to Marine Parade Road. If you are running from New Upper Changi Road, you could use the small road access to Siglap Linear Park. This park runs through a private estate, making it a nice quiet spot for a jog.

The path is wide enough to accommodate riders and runners. Along the way, you can spot Morning Glory or Bouganvilla in full bloom.

There are exercise stations along the route as well.

If you are bringing dogs, there are no dog parks, but there is a football field for them to run around.

The only spot where you have to stop would be along Upper East Coast Road, where the Linear Park divides.

Quaint Cafes

Along the way, you would find interesting cafes lining alongside the path. We reckon that Baker & Cook and Black Ink are with checking out.

Other than these outlets, the Upper East Coast Road stretch also has several eateries to recce.

Link to East Coast Park

Despite the roadworks for the Thomson East Coast Line, there is a direct access to East Coast Park from Marine Parade

If you are in the East, do check out the Siglap Linear Park!
