SkyHelix Sentosa : 5 Reasons why you have to ride it!

 

Sentosa SkyHelix is going to do a rare thing in Singapore nowadays.

This futuristic structure will open it's doors to riders AHEAD of schedule on 15 Dec 2021. Given how the construction industry had been hit by COVID-19, it is a miracle that it will be open in time for school holidays and year-end celebrations. For the older folks who remembered the now-defunct Sentosa Tiger Sky Tower, the SkyHelix will be taking over the same spot.

Here are 5 reasons why you should take this ride.

It is Singapore' highest open-air panoramic ride. 

Located at Imbiah Lookout, this ride apex is  35 m above ground and  79 metres above sea level, giving it one of the highest vantage points in Sentosa.

Relaxing Open Air 

Buckle up, you will be transported upwards in an open-air gondola.  There are no barriers as it rotates gently upwards. Thankfully, unlike similar amusement park rides, this one does not plunge right down. Instead, you will be enjoying a relaxing open-air ride.

Have a bird's eye view of Sentosa

This will be every photographer and Instagrammer delight. The 360° view of Sentosa will also make a good backdrop for Tik Tok Videos. Ride at night and the SkyHelix will be lit by LED lights.

Drinks come with the ride

Each rider will be entitled a choice of one standard non-alcoholic beverage (soft drink or slushie). If you don't feel like drinking , you could opt for an exclusive SkyHelix Sentosa souvenir instead. Each ride cost $14 for child (4-12) and $18 for adults.

Plan a proposal

Be one of the first of many to plan a proposal on the SkyHelix. Each ride will take approximately 12 mins with a 10 mins rotation at the peak. There is enough time to ask " Will you marry me". The top of the world experience will be unforgettable.

The ride will open on Dec 15. Due to the current regulation, it will only be opened for vaccinated guests. Children under 12 are allowed if they are accompanying the adult. There is a height requirement of at least 1.05m to ride.
