Love the Last March Opens at Gardens by the Bay Review

Love the Last March is here!

We head down to Gardens By the Bay to check out Love the Last March. We had initially spotted it earlier in the week when it was unfinished. Now that it is all ready, it's a pretty impressive sight.

Crafted by Gillie and Marc, Love the Last March consist of 45 bronze statues of the world's most endangered species marching together to save the Animal Kingdom.

This exhibition spans 192m from end to end and can take you around three to five minutes from start to end.

Love the Last March starting point is near the Floral Clock, aka Audemars Piguet Clock found between the Flower Dome and the entrance to the SuperTrees. Look out for the 2 'photographers' at the starting point.

The animals are lifesize, so there are a few stand-out statues in terms of size.

Interestingly, the animals are almost touching each other, resembling a marching formation.

Some animals are actually facing the 'wrong' way.

The March extends all the way to Dragonfly Lake.

Each statue will have a description and a QR Code.

Scan the QR Code, and you can learn more about each animal.

You can get up close to the animals as there are no barriers to them. Made out of bronze, they are sturdy and can withstand a grownup sitting on it (though we think you should not do so).

Love the Last March will call Gardens by the Bay home for the next year. It will be here from May 19 to May 18 2024. There is plenty of time to explore.

In the meantime, here is a sneak peek!
