Singapore got a good start with 5 Gold Medals on Day 1.

Noah won Singapore's first Gold. Despite an injury, he came out tops for the event.

She retains her fly crown with a time of 2 min 10.63 sec. She is the youngest of the Quah Siblings, well known for their prowess in the pool
Jonathan Tan (Men's 100m free)

Jonathan upset the favourite Teong Tzen Wei, who was the favourite to win.

Multi-medallist Quah won his 5th straight 100 m backstroke in this biennial games.

This historical gold marks Singapore's 1000 Gold medals in the game.
There are also 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medalists. Unfortunately, the upset for the day would be the elimination of the Lions team from football. Our World Cup dream has a long way to go.
