Singapore President Election Polling Day Sep 1 : Key points to Note

 

It's official, Sep 1st will be Singapore's President Polling day.

Key Points to Note

1) The date falls on a Friday. It will be a public holiday should there be more than one candidate. If only one candidate is nominated on Aug 22. There will be NO polling day, and the only nominee will be the President

2) 24 hour campaign silence is observed on 31 Aug. There will be no election campaigning. To be on the safe side, refrain from making posts on who to vote for on 31 Aug. 

3) Teacher's day will be pushed forward to Sep 11. Teacher's Day is a scheduled school holiday. So September 11 ( Monday) will be a school holiday 

4) N Level exams scheduled for Sep 11 will be held on Sep 12 and Sep 20 instead.
