Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival Open House 2023

 

Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2023 is back!

There will be over 20 activities and events to partake in this 2-day open house from 23 to 24 September from 10am to 630pm. Admission is free with ticketed events. The Lawn Installation will run from 29 August to 1 October at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.

Discover the story and traditions behind the Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the oldest cultural festivals in the world, and revel in the rich historical and cultural significance of the festival with a line-up of live performances, cultural workshops, heritage walking tours, and storytelling.

Lawn Installation: A Mid-Autumn Paw-trait

Date: 29 August – 1 October 2023

Time: 10am – 9pm daily

Admission: Free

The annual outdoor lantern installation has returned. This year's theme A Mid-Autumn Paw-trait features 2 giant panda lanterns. There are 2 pandas in different motions- one sitting in a relaxed position and the other in a stretching stance.

Workshops

There will be sessions of workshops for Parents and Children to enjoy. These are paid activities ranging from Panda Lantern Making, Hokkien Songs and Rhymes,Teochew Songs and Rhymes, Hakka Abacus Seed Making and Escape Game Activity.
