Shanti Pereira (Athletics- 100m and 200m)
The fastest Asian Woman for 100m and 200m for 2023 is poised to zip to the winner's podium for this Asian Games. While there is still a race to run, it is hers to lose.
Mikkel Lee (Swimming- 50m Fly)
Beating medal contender Tzen Wei Teong during the SEA games has pushed Mikkel Lee to the spotlight, winning at a time of 23.45 seconds. Joseph Schooling won the previous Asian Games 50m fly at 23.61, so there's high hope that Mikkel can take over the reins with Schooling's absence for this upcoming game.
Low Kean Yew (Badminton)
The current world number 9 and World Championship 2021 Gold Medallist will be hoping for a good run for Asian Games. Despite only a Silver in Korean Open this year, there are still high hopes for him.
