Pasar Malam is the heartland's favourite place to hang out and chill. 

Pasar Malam is Singapore's version of Night Market. They do not have fixed locations, and shops are set up in open spaces near the town centres, hawker centres or MRT. These markets pop up around Singapore at different times. While most of them may not be as glamorous as overseas night markets, there are special ones around festive seasons that stand out.

If you have been to a Pasar Malam, you would know that this is a great place to eat local street snacks, play claw machine games, get household items and bargain clothes. It does have a local flavour that makes it uniquely Singapore.
