The Phantom to the Opera to Return to Singapore on May 2025

 

The Phantom of the Opera is one of our favourite musicals.

We watched this musical in Singapore and at the London West End and loved it!

After a 6 year hiatus, Base Entertainment Asia, in association with The Really Useful Group and Crossroads Live, will bring this beloved musical, The Phantom of the Opera, back to Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands for a limited season from May 2025.

This is the third time The Phatom of the Opera marks its return, with previous runs in 2013 and 2019.  This musical is highly regarded for its musical scores, immersive sets and love story.

2019 The Phantom of the Opera 

Based on Gaston Leroux's classic novel Le Fantôme de L’Opéra, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA tells the story of a disfigured musical genius, the Phantom, who lurks in the depths of the Paris Opera House. 

Enchanted by the beauty and talent of young soprano Christine, he becomes her mentor while secretly in love with her. Unbeknownst to him, Christine harbours feelings for Raoul, leading to a dramatic clash of jealousy and passion.

This production stars Jonathan Roxmouth as the Phantom and Grace Roberts as Christine. It features a diverse cast of 37 international performers. With Andrew Lloyd Webber’s unforgettable music, including iconic songs like "The Music of the Night," audiences will be transported to the enchanting world of the Paris Opera House. 

Directed by Rainer Fried, with music supervision by Kristen Blodgette and choreography by Denny Berry, this production is part of an international tour, bringing the magic of the Phantom to audiences across Asia in 2025.
