SKULLPANDA Cage-Uncage : National Museum of Singapore Guide
SKULLPANDA is finally making its international debut.
Singapore gets the honour of hosting it first. From 12 December to 22 February 2026, the National Museum of Singapore turns into a playground for fans of art toys, immersive installations, and everything SKULLPANDA.
If you are planning a visit, here is what you can expect.
Venue
The exhibition is a timed, ticketed experience that takes place across two sections of the museum. Your journey begins at Stamford Gallery on level one before moving on to Gallery Theatre at basement one.
|
Even if you are just passing by, you can stop for a quick photo at the outdoor installation located at the front yard of NMS.
|
Once inside, keep an eye out for the Rotunda Dome, which has been dressed up with SKULLPANDA artwork for the occasion.
The Event
The Key at Stamford Gallery (L1)
|
This is where everything starts. The entrance reveals a keyhole environment filled with fragmented mirrors and keys, creating an endless optical illusion that sets the tone for the rest of the experience.
From here, you will move through five themed zones.
Emotion
A floating sphere made of opposing locks and keys explores the tension between what you see and what is real.
|
Direction
|
Transparent interactive pages filled with symbols reflect the
idea of imprisonment while hinting at different paths to freedom.
Fortune
|
Mirrors and crystals highlight the duality of wealth, showing how it can be both dazzling and confining at the same time.
Rules
|
A spinning top and a delicate scale bring time, gravity, and
discipline together through movement and balance.
Life
|
A quiet, meditative space with flowing sand and glass globes that
reframes how we look at existence.
Exploration at Gallery Theatre (B1)
|
This section uses interactive blocks to turn static symbols into
shifting meanings, encouraging visitors to view things from a fresh
perspective.
The Room at Gallery Theatre (B1)
|
The main attraction waits here. Two giant SKULLPANDA figures
holding keys stand within a mirrored chamber. Step inside and you will feel
like you have walked into an endless maze.
Cage Uncage
|
Created exclusively for Singapore, this installation draws
inspiration from traditional bird-singing culture. Suspended bird cages
display the prototype figurines from the SKULLPANDA The Paradox Series.
|
Exclusive SKULLPANDA Merchandise
|
At the end of the exhibition, you will reach a small merchandise area offering event-only collectables. The most talked-about item is the Plush Doll Cage Uncage.
|
Visitors aged twelve and above can buy one piece if they complete both exhibition zones and land on a winning slot during the Spin the Wheel game.
|
Some merchandise items come with purchase limits, so do check the signs on site.
SKULLPANDA POP MART Pop Up Store
|
There is also a POP MART pop-up at the museum’s Longer Concourse. This one is open to the public and offers general SKULLPANDA merchandise.
|
Just a reminder that the exclusive Plush Doll Cage Uncage will not be sold at this location, but you can catch a glimpse of it.
Ticketing
Ticket prices start from $14 for locals and $28 for tourists. Visitors aged twelve and above who complete both zones will have the chance to try their luck for the exclusive plush through Spin the Wheel.
