From a galaxy far far away, Stars Wars comes within a stepping stone from Singapore in LEGO form. For Star Wars and LEGO fans, the new Star Wars Minilands @ Legoland Malaysia will lure many across the causeway to the Dark Side.
Star Wars Miniland is now officially open at Legoland Malaysia.

The new Miniland is an indoor attraction at Legoland Malaysia . Housed in between LEGO Kingdom and LEGO technic, this air-conditioned Miniland is a must go for both Star Wars and LEGO fans. Here you can watch your favourite movie scene come to live in LEGO form.
For a fan of both, it is like having your cake and eating it.

The attraction is divided into 10 chambers. Unlike the outdoor Miniland, there is a queuing system for this attraction. Each queue last approximately 6 minutes and you would cover the attraction within the same time before the new batch of visitors arrived. It could be a little rush, but if you do not mind the constant flow of crowds, just take your time.

The first chamber is the holding area where you will get to watch a movie on Jar Jar Binks and HIS influence on the original Star Wars storyline line. This 5 minutes long movie is hilarious . Seating space is limited so be prepared to stand if there is a crowd. The next 7 chambers will depict sciences from Star Wars Episode 1-6 as well as The Clone Wars cartoon. The 9th chamber is the Star Wars shop and the last attraction will be at the exit where you will be greeted with oversized Lego models of Darth Vadar, Yogo, Luke, Darth Maul , R2 D2 and the rest of the gang

If you are a Star Wars geek (like yours truely), you would appreciate the scenes chosen for the Miniland features.The first scene was from Star Wars Episode 1, The Phantom Menace featuring the Epic Battle of Naboo.

| Epic battles |
The highlight will be the epic battle, young Anakin Skywalker battle in the Naboo star fighter and the battle between Darth maul and Obi Wan Kenobi. In case you are wondering, there are no minifigures used, rather the LEGO figures are made in the likeness of the minifigures.

The star of this section will not doubt be the 15000 bricks Royal Palace of Queen Amidala.

Star Wars : Episode II, Attack of the Clones

The next chamber houses the epic Jedi battle at Geonosis. This is Star Wars Episode II, Attack of the Clone .

The boys may not have seen the full show , but they do remember the arena scene where Anakin and Obi-wan fights for their life from the Star Wars Lego Xbox games.
Yeah, we get our pop culture fix from different sources but at least it is a common interest for us.

These battle scenes took a long Time to construct, the massive clone turbo tank itself takes 168 man hours and 10180 pieces to fix it.

The next chamber is the one that gets me really excited. This is the one that started the whole Star Wars craze. It may be Star Wars Epidsode IV, a New Hope but everyone knows this is the first of the Star Wars franchise and the one that one should watch before everything else.

The sight of the Millennium Falcon rising from the hanger would make any Star Wars fans go gaga. This is one kickass Millenium Falcon that is made up of 19200 lego pieces!

The last Miniland exhibit is the clone wars, which takes place between Episodes II and III. Personally I did not follow this, but Big C was well aware of the venue, Christophsis due to his knowledge from xbox game.

Looking for those hard to get Star Wars LEGO sets? You can get your hands on these sets at this store. Little Lou spotted what he wanted... Ewoks Village and Sand Crawler. Good taste my son. However if Daddy was to get it, it will probably stand in the box just because it is so rare. #justsaying.
The sets are avaliable one per customer per day. Best of all, you get it at retail price compared to the sky rocket prices else in Singapore for such sets!

If you are lucky, you might even catch a photo with some stromies on patrol. We understand that they are there on their own accord to check out thhe Miniland.
On that note dress your children as a Star Wars character and they enter for free for the month of September.

For AFOL ( Adult Fan of Lego) , this is one attraction not to be missed. That said, children who are exposed to the Star Wars lore by their parents would find the Miniland intriguing. The Wackies were all ohhs and aha over it.
We think if you are visiting Legoland Malaysia, you should not miss this!
