Disney Planes Flies into town!

Disney Planes
"Hey kids, we are going to watch Planes!""We are going on a plane??? Yippee! Let's pack our bags.""Er no..."

Despite not packing their bags and hopping on a taxi to the airport, the boys were as eager to catch Disney latest movie 'Planes' at GV Vivocity. We were at the preview at the invitation of Disney. The show is in 3D ( our first 3D show ) It's time to put on the glasses and enjoy the show!
3D Glasses on
From above the world of Cars comes Disney's Planes, an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty's not exactly built for racing, and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator, who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty's courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.

We loved the story of how a little Crop Duster decided to pursue his dream of becoming a racer. He may not be as well fitted as the rest, but he sure has a whole truckloads of heart and skills to match the best of them. It's a good movie to bring the kids to, as it teaches them to follow their dreams. If you believe and try your best, you may be surprised at how high you can achieve.

Planes may not hit the classical high of Disney legendary classics such as Cars, Toy Story, The Incredibles and Monster Inc. Nevertheless it is a good light hearted show that will take you to places beyond the horizon.

The 3D visual is awesome. As it is, the 2D view would be as good given its vivid images. Nevertheless with 3D , you can literally feel the planes zooming over your heads. However with younger kids, 3 and below, the glasses would probably not stay long on their little head.

Still it is a joy to watch, it will be no surprise that we would probably see merchandises of various forms to hit department stores soon. We would not mind getting our hands on one or 2 of the planes(Ahem... Daddy that is a hint! )
GV Vivocity
Thanks Disney for the preview . During our trip there, we spotted 2 familiar characters adorning the same wall as planes. Looks like we may need to make another 2 trips to GV in the near future to catch Thor and Capt Amercia.

Till then Up Up and Away ( Stolen line from another famous flying person ) Planes flies into the cinema on 5th sept.
