National Day 2017 : Activities for the family

National day is less than a week away. The celebration starts this week with specially curated NDP activities for the families. Time to get your flags out and celebrate the Nation's 52th birthday!

NDP Parade

Marina Bay

Dont' have ticket for the parade?
You can still soak in the atmosphere at Marina Bay, Best place to catch the action and fireworks will be from the Merlion Park and the Esplanade Bridge. Be there early to reserve a spot.  Parade starts at 530 pm. Look up and spot the Red Lions to signify the start of the parade.

Enjoy a full day celebration featuring a variety of sports, fitness, entertainment and lifestyle activities including the National Day Parade, family picnic, sports challenges, 52-minute National day fitness workout, aquathlon workshop and a carnival

• Live NDP Telecast & Family Picnic – Have a mass family picnic right at the OCBC Square while watching the live telecast of the National Day Parade.
• Experience Sports Super 8s – Form a team of 2 to 5 persons, be an athlete for a day and challenge yourself to 8 different sports – tennis, table tennis, lawn bowl, athletics, touch rugby, basketball, futsal and floorball.
• 52 minute National Day Fitness Blast – Come dressed in red and Zumba/Cardio Blast along to your favourite National Day-themed songs!

PlayLAH! Let's Celebrate! National Day 2017

Singapore favourite carnival is back for it's 6th iteration to commemorate Singapore's 52th National Day

Families can experience 4 main zones- Play, Learn, Eat and Bond, together with addition of new villages - Music, Sports and Tech, along with brand new stage performances. In collaboration with Fest Events International, the annual Singapore Drum Festival will be held alongside PlayLAH!, which included the Ultimate Drummer's Weekend as well as the Drum off Singapore Competition.

Celebrating NS50 Picnic

As part of NDP 52 celebration, recognition is given to NSmen who celebrate NS50 . Highlights includes Families for Life Picnic, NS50 themed games, Families for Life bouncy castles, SAF Kids Dress-up, NDP 2017 and NS50 Special Exhibitions, Pedal boats, Mini Standard Obstacle Course for families and individual markemanship trainer shooting. There will also be a movie screening of Boss Baby @ Concourse.
