Paco FunWorld : Family Amusement Carnival Review

Paco Funworld is back!

Paco Funworld was a familiar name back in the arcade heydays of the 1990s. It disappeared with the decline of arcades in the 2000s. With arcade regaining its popularity, Paco Funworld is back to entertain in a spanking new amusement centre at Kallang Wave Mall.

Billed as a family friend arcade centre that has everyone in the family in mind, we just have to explore and see if it lives up its billing.

Paco Funworld different zones cater to different age groups. For the tweens, there are the child-friendly claw catchers. For the bigger kids, the arcade awaits. For carnival fans, there are a couple of familiar carnival games to try and for the younger kids, a Ball Pool playground awaits.

To top it all off, a decent size prize area filled with goodies awaits for the winners from arcade ticketed games.

CLAW MACHINES

First up are the claw machines. There are at least 25 claw machines on site. There are machines of various sizes. From kiddy size claw machines to giant claw machine that has jumbo toys for you to win.

Claw Machines @ Paco Fun World
For the small and mid-size machines, it only takes 3 tokens (about $0.99) to play. Compared to claw machines in other arcades,  it is one of the best value play in town.
Will we win it?

Tip: Play the medium size plushies. It's the same price as the smaller ones and the toys are way cuter!
3 tokens per play
For the giant Claw Machines, each play is about 6 tokens ($1.98).

To top it off, the claws are relatively strong. Don't believe?

CARNIVAL GAMES
Carnival Games @ Paco Funworld
Next up are the carnival games.

There are only 2 carnival game booth. However, it is probably one of the few arcades in town with carnival games. The games are pretty winnable especially the hit the can game.

The plushies are pretty decent too. The less tries you take to win, the bigger the prizes.

ARCADE GAMES

For those who loved arcade games that dispense tickets ( we know we do), there are plenty of arcade game for you to hit jackpot.

From the familiar spongebox to Pearl Fishery, there is always a chance to win the big one.

Once done, feed your tickets to the auto ticket eater to exchange for a ticket to claim your prizes.

BALL POOL PLAYGROUND

For the little ones who prefer a run around the park, the Ball Pool Playground would be great for a spin. Entry is from $10 for one hour to $18 unlimited play on weekdays ( 2 hours on weekends). Do bring your own socks or you can purchase one for $2 each.

PRIZE AREA
Prize area @ Paco Funworld
The prize area at Paco Funworld is of a decent size.

It is packed with a variety of goodies that is sure to delight the little ones.

We spotted these mini Ironmen figures and thought it would be a great addition to a Marvel Collection. There is no iPad or Playstation in sight, but do not rule that out for the future!

How much does it cost to play at Paco Funworld?

The best value you can get is for $50. You will get 150 tokens which will give you 33Cents per token per play.

Most claw machines games are at 3 tokens per play, the carnival games are at 8 tokens per play and the arcade games starts from as low as 1 token  per play. In terms of value, we reckon it is a good deal.

If you run out of token, there is a promotion in store for free tokens. Simply Like Paco Funworld Facebook Page and leave a review. Do notify the staff when you are done!
( Promotion while stock last!)
