Comic Con is coming to Singapore.

What is Comic Con

Comic Con is a comic book convention with a primary focus on comic books and comic book culture. With the comic culture trans-versing into the big screen with the Marvel and DC makes, it brought comics to the mainstream. At Comic Con, you can meet creators, experts and maybe even a star or two. Best of all, dress up as your favourite comic character and no one will bat an eyelid on that day.

Singapore will be hosting our own version of Comic Con this year. Singapore Comic Con will be held on 7-8 December at Marina Bay. Originally known as Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention, it has been rebrand as Singapore Comic Con. Will the re-branding rejuvenate the comic scene in Singapore?

StarStudded illustrator line up

Three Time New York Bestselling artist Mark Simpson (Jock)

This award-winning comic artist is well known for his artwork in Batman: The Black Mirror Series. He also produced key art and concept for films such as Iron Man 3, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Star Wars Last Jedi and more.

Pop Surrealist Tara McPherson

Self-taught illustrator and current artist of BATMAN series for DC

Gaming fans haven

See gaming influencers on stage and experience exclusive industry showcases such as AR and VR in gaming. The finals of the PVP community Leagues featuring Mobile Legends, DOTA 2 will be featured in this convention.

Fans of miniature games will be delighted with Gamersaurus Rex minature tablescapes and battlefields such as A Song of Ice and Fire Miniature game.

Limited Edition t Shirts

Limited Edition T Shirts

Take home a limited edition fan art T Shirts by artists such as Tara MacPherson, Peach Momoko and Muffinsaurs. Each T shirt will be at SGD 29 online and at the merchandise store on-site.

Cosplay

Cosplay has always been a hit during the previous STGCC. The cosplayers would return to this event. Go there to check out the best cosplayers in Singapore.

Toys and collectibles

Last but not least, expect to see a variety of Toys and collectibles at the Singapore Comic Con. You might just find a rare toy there.

The only disappointment is that there are no movie stars or producers confirmed in the line up. Let's hope that there will be a surprise closer to the date to make it as grand as San Diego Comic Con. Russo Brothers, would you do the honour?
