Get your Singapore Bicentennial $20 online

Missed out on the bicentennial notes in June?

It will now be available online. We are not talking about buying it from Carousell. Rather from today onwards (Sep 16), online applications will be open to those who want to get the bicentennial $20 notes.

There will be a new batch of two million notes made available from MAS portal from Sep 16 to Oct 13. There is no need to head to the banks to queue this time around. Instead, successful applicants will be notified by Nov 3. Thereafter, they can make an exchange for the notes at face value during a two week period from early November.

Application is open to Singapore citizens and permanent residents only. Each person can apply for up to 10 notes. According to the central bank via a media release, if the demand is very strong, MAS will try to allocate at least one note to every applicant.

Applicants will need to select the number of notes to be exchanged and the preferred bank and branch to do so. Exchange can be done at the following banks.

• Citibank Singapore Limited
• Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch
• Maybank Singapore Limited

• HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited

Do note that successful applicants will only be able to make the note exchange at the branch selected during application.
