List of shops and services affected by Circuit Breaker Extension

It was announced that there will be a review of Essential Services during the COVID19 updates.



The list of Essential Service will be tightened. This is to reduce the number of workers who have to physically go to work to minimise movement and interaction of people.



What will remain open

Supermarkets and markets 

Supermarkets and markets will continue to operate per normal during the Extended Circuit Breaker Period. There will be restriction place on selected Wet Markets.

Entrance to these places would be determined by the last digit of a person's NRIC or FIN.
Measures will last till May 4 and will adjust until June 1
From tomorrow the following areas will be affected
-Geylang Serai Market
-Blk 505 Jurong West ST 52
-Blk 20/21, Marsiling Lane
- Blk 104/105, Yishun Ring Road

Individuals with even/odd last digit in their NRIC will be allowed entry only on even/odd dates of the months respectively.


Hawker Centers, Food Courts and Coffeeshops
Hawker centers, food courts and coffeeshop to operate as usual.


F& B Outlets of the following categories are allowed to continue.

What will close
Suspension operations of less critical consumer services from 21 Apr 2359 

• Standalone outlets that sell only beverages, packaged snacks, confectioneries or desserts will be required to close. This include Bubble Tea store

Hawkers Centres, coffeeshop and food courts are exempted

Shops Closed

• Food vending Machines to close

• Hairdressing and barber services will be close- Guess the 80s long hair will be back

Additional restrictions on selected consumer-facing businesses to further reduce customer interactions with effect from 21 Apr 2359

• Optician shops can operate by appointment only.

• Pet Supplies and retail laundry must close physical stores, but are permitted to provide online sales and delivery

Reduce the number of businesses allowed to operate at their work premises
Businesses that are less critical for daily living or to maintain essential supply chains are to be stop.

Online retail of food products can take place only if they can fulfilled from the licensed central kitchen, manufacturing facility or warehouse of the F& B establishment. 

Note that the manufacturing facility must not be part of the list indicated below

In addition, Malls / standalone stores and supermarkets with high traffic should, where reasonably practical, conduct contact tracing of customers.
