A little dose will keep the doctors away. Today's daily dose would not be heavy but there are important tidbits to savour. For those celebrating birthday after May 12, you can have your cake and eat it too!



1) 447 confirmed cases

5 new clusters identified, mostly Factory converted dorms.

While the numbers are looking down, without additional information such as the number of tests done as well as where the tests were conducted (dorms with high infection rates vs new dorms), it will discuss the impact.

2) 2 additional  deaths, bringing the total to 18 deaths
.Case 1323, a 76 year-old male Singapore Citizen, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 1 May 2020. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 6 April, and had a history of cancer. Changi General Hospital has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them.

 Case 17410, a 47 year-old male Bangladeshi national, has passed away on 1 May 2020. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection after his demise. Investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of death.

4) Circuit Measures to be lifted progressively from May 5

5) Tea and other drink shops will now reopen but can operate to central kitchens

Standalone Bubble tea shop will not open on May 12
