Primary One 2020 Key Registration Dates: Starts 1 July

Primary 1 registration will start on 1 July



Primary 1 registration is done by phases. This is applicable to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. The Phases are from Phase 1 to 2C Supplementary. There are a total of 6 phases for Primary 1 Registration.

Due to Covid19, this year's registration will be fully online. The online application will be available via a link on the MOE P1 registration website during the registration periods of the respective phases

Registration will take place from Jul 1 to Oct 30.



Phase 1

• You have another child currently studying at your preferred school.
• All children registered under this phase are guaranteed places in the schools

Key Dates 
Registration:  1 July 2020 (9am) to 2 July 2020 (430pm)

Phase 2A(1)

• You are a former student of the school chosen and have signed up as a member of the alumni before 1 July 2018
• You are a member of the Advisory or Management Committee of your school of choice.

Key Dates
Registration:  7 July 2020 Tuesday (9 am to 430pm)
Result: 13 July 2020


Phases 2A(2)

• You or a child of yours have previously studied in the school of choice
• You are a staff of the school
• Your child is currently in the MOE Kindergarten located within your preferred school

Key Dates
Registration: 14 July 2020 (9am) to 15 Juy 2020 (430pm)
Result: 22 July 2020


Phase 2B

• You are a parent Volunteer before 1 July and completed 40 hours of service by 30 Jun 2019 in the school of choice
• You are a member endorsed by the church or clan directly connected to the school
• You are endorsed as an active community leader
• There will only be 20 places reserved in all schools. This may be subjected to balloting

Registration: 23 July 2020(9am) to 24 July (430pm)
Result: 30 July 2020

Phase 2C

• Your child is eligible for P1 and not yet registered in primary school. You can register online using the Primary 1 internet System or register in person.
• There will be 20 places reserve in all schools for this phase

4 Aug (9am) to 6 Aug (430pm)

Result: 17 August 2020

Phase 2C Supplementary

• Your child is eligible for P1 and not yet registered in primary school. 
• You can register online using the Primary 1 internet System or register in person.

19 Aug (9am) to 20 Aug (430pm)

Registration via online
20 Aug (9am) to 21 Aug (430pm)

Result: 31 Aug 2020

Phase 3 ( For international students only)

For International Student, you can register under Phase 3. This will be after all SCs and PRs have been allocated a place under the earlier phases.

Key Dates
Registration: 2 to 8 June
Applicants will be notified in Oct 2020.


There will be a Cap on the Intake of Children who are permanent residents (PRs).Cap of 25 to 30 per cent will be introduced on some school's intake of PR student and will only apply to Phase 2C and 2C Supplementary. The schools affected as follows :

Bukit Timah Primary School, Bukit View Primary School, Changkat Primary School, Greendale Primary School, Marymount Convent School, North Spring Primary School, Opera Estate Primary School, Pioneer Primary School, Tanjong Katong Primary School and Xingnan Primary School.
