In the end, we treated ourselves to a  Dark Grey Canvas Satchel (SGD99) from Trendhim.

This messenger bag is great for the weekend casual look. It is functional as well, with lots of pockets for storage.

On the front of the bag flap is a zippered compartment for small item. The bag flap is secured by magnets so it is easily opened. On the front of the bag is another zippered compartment with slots for cards. This is perfect for items such as phones, stationary or wallet.  The zippers also works as a security feature against theft.

The zippered main compartment easily fits a couple books and is large enough to hold a 15-inch laptop.While the bad does not look overwhelmingly large, it has enough volume to swallow a ton of stuff in it.

Construction wide, it is sturdy and of good workmanship. This bag would be great for a casual Friday at work or even to school for older kids.
