50,000

We past 50K.
Officially, we are at 50369. That is about 0.9% of the total population. It is still a long way from the recommended herd immunity of 70%. At this rate, it is not even a target for Singapore to consider.

1) 481 COVID 19 cases
4 Imported
5 Community (1 Work Pass, 4 Work Permit)
472 Dorms

3rd day running without a Singaporeans reported for community case. Dorms continue to be high at 472 with 2 new clusters forming at 52 Kaki Buki Industrial Terrace and 19 Kian Tech Ave.

2) Tekka Center, City Square Mall, Funan Mall among new locations visited by Covid19
Mustafa Center is back on the list once more. This is almost a weekly occurrence since this reporting format was introduced.

  • Pioneer Mall on July 17 between 8pm and 9.30pm
  • City Square Mall on July 19 between 11.25am and 12.25pm
  • Mustafa Centre on July 19 between 12pm and 12.50pm
  • Tekka Centre on July 20 between 6.30pm and 7.10pm
  • Funan Mall on July 21 between 3.10pm and 4.10pm

3) Loud Hailers used by N Park at East Coast to curb crowding.
2 out of 8 groups are said to be breaking rules especially with the number of people gathered.

There were even groups of more than 10.
Complacency had set in despite earlier warnings on actions taken if safe distancing rules are broken.

4) 4 SMRT bus drivers from Bukit Panjang integrated transport hub cluster test positive for Covid19.

They drove bus services 976, which plies to and from Choa Chu Kang Interchange; 184, a loop service that turns around at Clementi MRT Station; and 176, which plies to and from Bukit Merah Interchange.

5) Malaysia reports 3 imported cases from Singapore.

The low case does mean no case.
Malaysia has 3 imported cases from Singapore.
This just means that there are more cases in the community - just that it is not tested yet ...
