We are now at 49+ with less than 1K more to go to 50K. At the current rate of 300 cases a day, we could reach there by this weekend.


1) 354 new cases of covid19

8 community ( 4 SC, 4 Work Permit Holders)
5 imported cases

The cases in dorms continue to remain high as the testing are now concentrated on dorms with high infection rates to clear the dorms.

Imported cases continue to be detected despite the low numbers of returnees to Singapore.

Of the 4 SC cases, 2 are unlinked

3) Secondary Schools, JC, Millennia Institute can resume lower risk CCAs from July 27

Secondary schools, junior colleges and Millennia Institute will have the option to resume lower-risk co-curricular activities (CCAs) from next Monday (July 27).

Maximum of 20 students per activity and - where possible - the composition of participants should be fixed to minimise inter-mingling. For example, badminton CCAs may resume, with a maximum of 20 participants per venue;

• Groups of five or fewer can interact more closely during the activity. For example, a group of five students can be working on a software program in a computer lab, four students can play doubles at table tennis, or two can play against two in a basketball game;

• Modified game rules will apply, such as students having to remain at least 1m apart, even during physical activities; and

• Schools will continue to screen all visitors, including coaches and instructors, for flu-like symptoms such as fever and cough, and ensure that they comply with all safe management measures.

4) The Original Teo Heng KTV outlet at Katong SHopping Center is closing down

The chain will close 7 out of 14 outlets after its business has been severely impacted by Covid19 pandemic.
