One Week Break

Holidays had started

There is a one week break for children from today. Usually, at the junction, you would see hoards of families at the airport ready for a quick getaway aboard. With Covid19, this usual 'practise' had changed completely.

Most will be staying put at home. Some of the more 'adventurous' ones will look to having a staycation in Singapore instead. Regardless of the choice take, stay safe!

1) 327 cases confirmed
315 Dorms
9 Community (6 SC, 2 WP, 1 Work Permit)
3 imported cases

Dorms cases set to rise as it was pre-warned that the current testing batches are from the high-risk dorms. It is an interesting strategy to test the worse hit places as the final stretch. Expect the numbers to hit at least 50,000  in the next week or 2. Currently, it stands at 47453.

2) 1 local unlinked case passed away due to intracerebral haemorrhage.

72 Singaporean Female was only diagnosed with Covid19 after death. Her death is stated as unrelated to Covid19

3) All foreign Workers to be tested by Mid August
Currently, 232,000 of estimated 300,0000 living in dorms are tested.
The last batch comes from dorms with higher prevalence rate. With approximately 70000 to be tested and at an indicative rate of 15%, expect another 10,000 more confirmed cases in the next month. That is about 300+ a month as per what we are seeing right now.
