6 Unique Hotel Experiences in Singapore

Can't travel overseas?

If you missed travelling and have a big budget to blow, you might want to consider having a unique experience in Singapore instead. Granted these hotels would probably cost as much as your family trip to Japan, but since you can't travel, it could be the next best way to satisfy your wanderlust instead. Nonetheless, if you are flying business class for your holidays, these options may just be a dime in a dozen.

1 Stay in a Colonial Mansion

Fancy having a whole mansion to yourself ala Crazy Rich Asia?

While you might not be able to rent one with sprawling grounds for a 200 pax party, you could still live in a colonial bungalow dated back to 1880s. This 436 sqm colonial manor in Capella is ideal for those who want an experience from the past.

This double-storey manor comes with 3 en suite bedroom that are decked with 46 inch LCD TV and BOSE sound system. You even get a private lap pool to laze about during your stay.

The Alternative

If the price tag is a little too rich, you could consider alternative such as the 280 sqm 2 Story Larkhill Mansion at Amara Sanctuary Resort and Spa. Price is about a third of the colonial manor. It does not have a private pool or private chef, but you get daily breakfast and Wifi.

2 Have your own Private Villa With Pool

The one-bedroom villa starts at around  $950 per night while a 2 bedroom sets you back at around $4.3K per night. If you are booking 'The Palace', it would be best to check with RWS on price and availability. We would imagine that it will cost upwards of 10K per night to rent the unit.

The Alternative

There are less pricey options and maybe even more private villas in the market. The 300 sqm 2 Bedrooms Villa Du Jardin that comes with a private pool at Sofitel Sentosa & Spa cost around $3K per night.

Capella has one (133 Sqm) and two-bedroom (186 sqm) villas that starts from $ 1080+ and $2800+ per night respectively.

The Alternative

Forget about the presidential suite, if you want the most expensive room in Singapore, it has to be the Chairman Suite of Marina Bay Sands.

Rumoured to cost a cool $20,000 a night, this 600sqm suite has a grand piano, a pool table and a million dollars view of the city skyline.  If you could miss your first-class seat to the US, this could be a possible option instead.

The Chairman Suite is so exclusive that you would have to email them to make a booking.

The Alternative

If you want a cheaper option, go Presidential instead. Many hotels have Presidential Suites.

If these options are too pricey, pack your bags and head to Fullerton Presidential Suite. At 201sqm, it boasts a grand piano and a fully enclosed glass balcony.  From $6800 per night, it is a steal!
