Prima Revolving Restaurant closes after 43 years with Covid19 hastening it's closure. Despite the pickup in dining, given the restriction of 5 per group, Prima would have a hard time surviving as it usually caters to a bigger group.
It is an iconic restaurant perched on top of a Silo. The Revolving concept always make for an interesting visit. There is no word if any other restaurants will take its space.
On that note, we will be consolidating our daily dose for weekend updates. Weekend news is usually slower so we will consolidate Sat /Sun updates to one update on Sunday.
1) 81 New Covid19 Cases
- 62 Dorms
- 3 Community (2 SC, 1 Work Pass)
- 16 imported cases (2 WP, 1 Work Permit, 3 Dependants, 10 Special Pass)
10 cases are seamen on Special Passes. They arrived in Singapore from India on a vessel and was not disembarked. They had been identified as close contact of previous case (Presumably from the vessel) It is not stated how many are on board the vessel.
2 of the community cases were at Music Box KTV for long period of time to preview the premises.
2) Shaw house Hotpot restaurant fined, suspended after allowing 20 customers in private room.
Staff at the restaurant were "uncooperative, and at times aggressive" towards the enforcement officers, added STB, and had tried to block them from entering the restaurant and the private room.
There are no reports on any punishment for the group.
3) Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant closes down.
