Cloud Forest : 5 reasons to revisit

When is the last time you have been to the Cloud Forest?

Cloud Forest @ Gardens By the Bay is a hidden attraction that most will skip in favour of Flower Dome. Unlike the Flower Dome, the displays are mostly fixed and things have been relatively unchanged since the opening days save for a few exhibits.

As such, repeated visits to the Cloud Forest are pretty rare.  However, if your visit is more than a couple years ago, here are 5 reasons why you should revisit.

1) Enjoy a walk in the forest in air-conditioned comfort

While we do have pockets of outdoor green spaces and mini forest to explore, bringing a 6-year-old child outdoors for a hike might not be a good idea with Singapore's hot weather.

The next best thing to get close to greenery would be a stroll at Cloud Forest.

The first thing that will greet you is the Falls, a 35 meters tall waterfall greets you at the entrance.

With multiple levels to explore, you would feel like you are climbing a mountain in the great outdoor. There are interesting displays such as a LEGO Venus flytrap to keep the little ones entertained.

2) Instgramable locations and displays

At almost every turn, you could find an instagramable worthy spot. If you want to up your Instagram game or simply take photos for memories, a day out at the Cloud Forest would do wonders.

From the scenic landscape to unique sculptures. this place would be a goldmine for Instagrammers.

Don't miss the Cloud and Treetop Walk that makes you feel like you are walking on clouds.

3) See Limestone formation without leaving the country

One of the things we missed from travelling is visiting caves. Our last trip to Perth had us exploring limestone caves of all shapes and sizes.

At the Cloud Forest, you can also see some of these interesting nature made sculptures at the Crystal Mountain. It is just one of the interesting finds at Cloud Forest.

4) Take a step back in time

The Secret Garden is a new landscape that has more than 7000 plants comprising of 135 species and hybrids. It feels like you are transported to the Lost World when you are here.

After the Secret Garden, take a peek at the Cloud Forest Gallery where you will be greeted by a new and improved interactive exhibition that tells the story of man's current geological age - The Anthropocene.

5) Relive the first experience of visiting Cloud Forest

If you have not been to Cloud Forest for a while, a revisit will still guarantee to bring the oohs and the aahs.  From now till 30 June, you could still use SingapoRediscovers Vouchers for your visits to Cloud Forest.
