Bedtribe Iced Bamboo Sheets and Bamboo Duvet Review : Sleeping on clouds

 

Where do you usually get your bedsheets?

For us, our usual hunt for bedsheets are at the department stores. However, with the closing of department stores such as Robinson and Isetan, it will be just a matter of time that we turn to other options. 

For the past 2 years under COVID-19, we had turned online to get our daily needs. For bedsheets, we decided to head to Bedtribe to check out their Iced Bamboo Sheets.

Bedtribe is a local brand that had its bedsheets design in Singapore. What intrigued us was the material used for the bedsheets-bamboo sheets. This was our first bamboo sheet experience and it had been nights of sweet dreams ever since we had it fitted on the bed.

What are Bamboo sheets?

Soft alternative to cotton sheets

The bamboo sheet are said to be the equivalent of 1000 thread count cotton sheets even though it has a 300 Threadcount. A typical cotton sheet thread count starts from 200. In the industry, usually one would associate a higher thread count with softer sheets due to the way it is made. While it may not always be the case, we can vouch that Bedtribe bamboo sheets would make you feel like sleeping on the clouds.

Cooling and breathable

In humid Singapore, any chance to tone down the heat is a welcoming relief. While it may not be ice-cool, it does feel refreshing to sleep on the bed even in the hot afternoon. The breathable material also prevents heat from being trap under the fabric.

The bamboo sheets are also said to be more durable due to the way it is made. Additionally, it has Hypoallergenic and Antibacterial factors made from Standard 100 OEKO-TEX® that repel bacterias and odours.  The best part, they are machine washable and retains their quality after repeated washing.

There are 5 colours to choose from that would fit any room. Choose from the following combination of white, grey, blush, navy and forest.

The Sleep Experience

After trying out the sheets for a week, it was a cooling experience. With the week-long school holidays, I found myself sleeping in for an hour more. Even afternoon naps look enticing despite the hot weather. I reckoned it is one of the better bedsheets we had tried in recent times.
