Sakura 2023 Gardens by the Bay : Review



The best place to see Sakura may just be in Singapore.

Sakura at Gardens By the Bay 2023 marks its return to the Flower Dome.

This year's theme is train travel.

The Flower Dome will be transformed into a landscape akin to a scenic train journey across beautiful spots of Japan.


Here are 10 things to do at Sakura 2023

1) HANAMI - FLOWER WATCHING

Enjoy Hamani (Flower Viewing) at the sakura.

There are 2 types of Sakura to enjoy.

Cherry Blossom is the most popular Sakura that is found throughout Japan

Peach Blossom, or momo, can also be found in the flower field.

2) Catch a Pokemon at the Pokemon Forest

The Pokemon Forest will be home to  Snorlex, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and Pikachu.

3) Meet Pikachu on 18 March 2023



Pikachu will be performing at Gardens by the Bay for one day only on 18 March at the Flower Dome at 11 am and 2 pm. 

Sakura Afro Pikachu will also make its first appearance outside of Japan. Meet and Greet will be from 18-19 March. Don't miss it!


4)Spot the Mini Shirakawa-Go Houses

Since this is a scenic train journey, you can expect to see Japanese attractions. These Shirakawa Go Houses would be familiar to visitors in Japan

5) Catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji

6) Admire the Torri Gates

These Torri Gates could have taken a page from the steps of Fushimi Inari Shrine.

Look out for the super cute bunnies there! 

7) Hop on the Sakura Express

A miniature Nara Park awaits beyond the train.

8) Hide Under the Red Wagasa (Umbrella)

9) Touring Springtime Japan - 19 March 11am-630pm

10 ) Enjoy Japanese Cultural Programmes -19 March

There will also be a show - Belle at the Flower Fields, from 4-6pm on the same day.

Sakura 2023 will start from 11 March to 9 April. The best time to go is the 18/19 weekend when most activities are held!
