Children Seasons Returns from 27 May to 25 June

Children's Season is back.

This year's theme is Hopes and Dreams, Children Season 2023. Young ones are invited to explore different occupations and inventions in past and present Singapore.

The Children's Season 2023 is jointly presented by the National Heritage Board(NHB) and the Museum Rountable (MR).  While the full activities list will only be released on May 22 at this website, here is a peek at what to expect for Children's Season 2023.

Comic Art Workshops

This is the highlight for Children's Seasons 2023. A series of 30 comic art workshops will be conducted by 14 talented local artists and art educators across participating museums. A total of 10 museums and galleries will be involved.

All 30 sessions will feature theme unique to each session. The workshops include story-telling techniques, drawing inspiration from everyday life, character design, drawing expressions, producing mini books, costume design and more!

You can create cool and crazy cars from doodles at Singapore Mobility Gallery, and reinvent a classic fairy tale in comics at Peranakan Museum with the theme " What if Cinderella were Nyonya?"

Specially curated programmes

25 participating MR museums will have their own Children's Season 2023 programmes. Some examples are as follows

NUS Museum - Be an Archaeologist for a Day!

Dig up broken fragments and attempt to reconstruct them. Participants will get to bring home their own dug-up artefacts.

MINT Museum - Colour your own PR

Participants can design their own Augmented Reality toy from a selection of nine occupations. All complete artworks will be scanned and projected onto the spaces around them.

Chidlren's Museum Singapore

There will be 4 programmes on occupations. There will be paper craft workshops where families can make their own 3D sculptures of birds, flowers and more.

Children's Season Passport Stamps collection activity

There will be a Children's Season passport stamps collection activity. Visit any of the 25 participating MR museums to collect a passport and start a collection of uniquely designed passport stamps.

Stamp collectors stand a chance to win special prizes once they have completed any of the three-tiered milestones on the passport.
