Primary One Registration Phases and Key Dates 2023

Registration Phases
Primary 1 registration is done by phases. Applicable to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. The Phases are from Phase 1 to 2C Supplementary.

Phase 1
Registration: 9am,4 July 2023 (Tuesday) to 430pm, 5 July 2023 (Wednesday)

Phase 1
- For a child who has a sibling studying in the primary school
- All eligible Phase 1 applicants will be offered a place.
Registration: 9am,4 July 2023 (Tuesday) to 430pm, 5 July 2023 (Wednesday)

Phase 2A
Phase 2B
Phase 2C
Phase 2A
- Whose parent or sibling is a former student of the primary school, including those who have joined the alumni association of the primary school as a member.
- Whose parent is a member of the School Advisory or Management Committee.
- Whose parent is a staff member of the primary school.
- From the MOE Kindergarten under the purview of and located within the primary school.

Registration: 9am, 12 July 2023 (Wednesday) to 430pm, 14 July 2023 (Friday)

Phase 2B
- Whose parent has joined the primary school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 July of the year before P1 registration and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June of the year of P1 registration.
- Whose parent is a member endorsed by the church or clan directly connected with the primary school.
- Whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader.#

*20 places in each primary school will be reserved for Phase 2B
# Endorsed active community leaders are eligible to register their child
only for schools within 2km of their residential address in Phase 2B.
Children who gain admission under the “parent is an endorsed active
community leader” eligibility to a school within 2km of the address used for
registration must reside at that address for at least 30 months from the
start of the P1 Registration Exercise, which is 4 July 2023 for the 2023
exercise.
Phase 2C
- For a child who is not registered in primary school

Registration: 9am, 1 August 2023 (Tuesday) to 430pm, 3 August 2023 (Thursday)

Results: 15 Aug 2023
* 40 places in each primary school will be reserved for Phase 2C to ensure
continued open access to all primary schools. There will be a cap on the
intake of PR children in a few schools to prevent the concentration of PR
children in the primary school.
Phase 2C Supplementary
- For a child who is not yet registered in a primary school after Phase 2C.

Registration: 9am, 17 August 2023 (Thursday) to 430pm, 18August 2023 (Friday)

*There will be a cap on the intake of PR children in a few schools to
prevent the concentration of PR children in primary schools.
Phase 3 ( For international students only)
For International Student, you can register under Phase 3. You need to indicate your interest by filling a form from 9am 30 May to 5 June 2023 . Details available here
Points to note
- Register your child for only one school in any phase
- Making an amendment in the same phase will require you to remove the previous registration and resubmit a new registration on the P1 Registration Portal before the phase closes.
- If unsuccessful in the phase, you can register your child in the next phase they are eligible for. If your child is unsuccessful in Phase 2C Supplementary, they will be posted to a school with an available vacancy.
- Withdrawing a P1 place secured in the previous phase is possible. The same parent who registered the child must withdraw their place through the P1 Registration Portal successfully before registering for another school in the next eligible phase.
