If you love the hippes 70s you will love this. Calling out all retro fans. It’s time to dust off those hippy outfits and party the night away with Mama Mia.
If you are an ABBA fan, you have to watch this jukebox musical. Featuring 23 ABBA songs throughout the show, this 2.5-hour-long musical tells a tale of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads unfolding on a Greek island idyll.

The standout vocal would be Jess Michelmore as Sophie, the 20-year-old girl aspiring to discover her real father. 21 years ago, her mom, Donna, had 3 lovers within a short period, and 21 years later, she is trying to find out who the father is. Her crystal clear voice is befitting of her role.

The show starts off at a leisurely pace but gradually gains momentum with familiar tunes such as Money Money Money, Dancing Queen and the hilarious Take a Chance on Me.

This musical do have some adult theme, so it may not be suitable for those under 12.

Musically, it was right on point. ABBA Fans would instantly recognize the melodies as they're sung. Though a bit more creativity in the performances would be a welcome addition.
The real magic unfolds during the encore, treating fans to a mini concert featuring Donna and the Dynamos as they belt out Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen to the delight of the dancing audience.

In Summary, this musical will strike a chord with the older generation and the younger audiences seeking to immerse themselves into the music of yesteryears. It might not be as avant-garde as contemporary musicals like "And Juliet", but it's undoubtedly worth an evening of retro entertainment.
