6 Letter Brunch Review - A Nice Brunch Place in the East

We were scratching our heads for brunch in the East.

So we went googling Bring in the East, and one of the results was 6 Letter Brunch.

Since the place had the word brunch, this may be a good spot for one. Nestled in a row of shophouses along the idyllic Frankel Avenue in the East, 6 Letter Brunch was only opened recently during the challenging Covid period. It has managed to survive the dark days, and it is gaining popularity at Frankel judging by its numerous popular reviews for the last few months

6 Letter Brunch

Letter Brunch has a minimalist decor with white-washed walls, concrete floors, and wooden furniture with plants as accessories. It's a decor that we have seen executed well in laid-back cafes.

The added touches of bird's lights, a swing and bicycles in the front add to the charm of 6 Letter Brunch

There are indoor and outdoor seating. Given the weather, it is unsurprising that most guests opt for indoors in the afternoon. Nonetheless, this means this cafe can seat more than expected.

Overall, one gets a very relaxing vibe in the cafe. It's a great spot to chill and catch up in the east.

The only downside is parking. Parking is nearly impossible on the road facing the cafe. The best option would be to park in the Sigalp estate located a street away.

The Food

Truffle Fries $9

The truffle fries are topped with parmesan cheese and served with in-house garlic sauce. Fries are crispy and crunchy with a strong truffle scent.

Good Day Breakfast $19

Good Day Breakfast resembles American Breakfast's crispy bacon, pork sausage and scrambled eggs.  Add shitake mushrooms, sourdough, butter toast, and mixed salad, and you have a good, if not great, Breakfast dish.

Arabiki Sausage & Pancakes $13

Pancakes are thick and fluffy with pure maple syrup as dressing. Add juicy arabiki pork sausage, sunny-side-up egg, and mixed salad; this meal could be quite filling.

Smoked Duck Rosti $18

Rosti is another one of the popular dishes at 6 Letter Brunch. The Smoke Ducked is sliced into thinner pieces for easy chewing, and the rosti is well-fried and tasty.

Rataquille Cheese Rosti $19

Another Rosti Dish but one loaded with Monterey jack, mild cheddar, mozzarella and more. This one will be a good option for vegetarians.

6 Letter Leaves $6

If you love tea, you would love this flavorful option. This 6 letter leaves has 6 different types of tea leaves, with the main ingredients being white and green tea. Very aromatic!

There are also desserts and ice cream to partake.

The menu changes occasionally, so check with them on the latest offerings.

Verdict

In terms of prices, it could cost $100 or more for 4 drinks. The good news is that a bottle of fresh water is provided in the house. Portions are big enough to consider it as a full meal.

When we were there, they also offered vouchers for sale for the next visit. It's a decent offer and worth getting if you are planning repeated visits.

  • Buy $60 Free $20 voucher
  • Buy $100, Free $40 voucher

While there is no lack of cafes in the East, if you are looking for a relaxing place to chill on Frankel Avenue, you would not go wrong with 6 Letter Brunch. The good news is that it opens in the evening too, something which some cafes do not do at the East side.
