We were charmed by Chuggingtons Christmas @ City Square Mall last year. Thus when the invite came for us to watch Thomas & Friends at the same eco-mall, it was a treat that proved hard to resist.

Tues-Fri : 2pm & 7pm, Sat -a Sun : 1pm, 4pm and 7pm

It was opening night for the show and it was full house! No surprise here given that Thomas is a household name for those with children.

For the popular Christmas shows at the mall, we do suggest you be there early to 'book' your choice seats. We were lucky as City Square Mall saved some choice seats up front for this invitation. After a short wait, the show began. It was all smiles when we caught sight of Thomas.

Go Go Thomas

The show is about 30 minutes long. The main highlights of the show would be Sir Topham Hatt The Fat Controller and Thomas. Obviously most of the kids at the mall recognized them and the loudest cheer is reserved for the favourite No 1 Blue Train.

The entertainment value came mostly from the antics of station hands, Dusty and Rusty through their comical song and dance routine.

Do not expect Thomas to move around on stage. He only moves his eyes during the show. Nonetheless the sight of Thomas appearing on stage will light any children's eyes anytime.

The show ended with a blanket of foam snow falling upon us. Snow in Singapore is a rare commodity and this immediately bought squeaks of delight around the mall.

As for little Lou, the 'snow' does not fazed him from his loving gaze at Thomas on stage.

Best of all, he got his Christmas wish, a photo opportunity with Thomas and Friends.

You can redeem a Meet and Greet pass 45 minutes prior to each show with a $50 spend. However do note that passes are limited to 50 passes / show. Judging from the snaking lines we had seem, it would be good if you are there early to queue for the Meet and Greet Session.

Santa's House

There are more entertainment around the mall during this Christmas Season. Carnival games and an assortment of rides including Carousel await outside the main entrance. In addition, there is a festive light show and snowy playtime held at 8pm and 9pm daily from 15th Nov to 29 Dec.

Do note the weather. As it was raining, we had to miss these rides and the outdoor show for this trip. It was a shame, given how festive the rides look.
