Goldilocks and the Three bears

 There is one theatre company that never fail to impress us with their productions. We pride ourselves as bonafide fans of Singapore Repertory Theatre - The Little Company, ever since we first caught the show 'The Cat in the Hat' at DBS Arts Center 3 years ago. Thereafter productions such as ' The Nightingale' and 'Junior Claus' made us pledge not to miss a production from TLC.

This year, SRT - The Little Company brings us not one but five productions in their biggest season ever. Kicking off the year will be 金发姑娘和三只熊 ( Goldilocks and the Three Bears).

This is the Mandarin version of the hugely successful production in 2013. Featuring music and lyrics by the Laurence Olivier award-winning West-End musical theatre songwriting duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. This new Mandarin version will breath fresh air into a classic tale. Not to mention it will give the kids a whole new perspective with the use of the Mandarin language.

On a trip into the forest, Goldilocks ventures into a seemingly uninhabited house. In the process of making herself at home, she turns the place into a gigantic mess! Little does she know that the house belongs to a family of three bears, who are not too pleased to witness her handiwork.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears reminds children not to fiddle with the belongings of others, lest there be consequences to bear.

Since this is going to be our first Mandarin Play from SRT, we could not wait to see if it lives up to our high expectation. Somehow we have a hunch it would!
