Fireworks
The 8 minute long fireworks music score is written by Cultural Medallion winner, musician and composer Mr Iskandar Ismail, and it showcases strong Southeast Asian influences including traditional musical instruments such as the erhu (Sunny Wong), suona (Liu Jiang), Malay percussion instruments (Riduan Zalani) and Indian flute (Rajandra s/o Vadivale).

The fireworks choreography, designed in tandem with the music, has three high level firing sites to represent the northern and southern hemispheres, separated by the equator. Watch as 200-metre low level fireworks weave together with water to form a visually stunning "Giant Wave".

Those who are not present at Marina Bay can join in the celebration which will be broadcast live on Channel NewsAsia and the music played on MediaCorp radio station Symphony 92.4FM.

Vantage points to view the fireworks for New Year Eve @ Marina Bay
The areas around Marina Bay provides a unique viewpoint for fireworks. We had seen fireworks at Marina Bay from One Fullerton and it was gorgeous.

Fireworks@ Marina Bay

Around Marina Bay
1 Esplanade Promenade
Center of the performing arts. The Esplanade is probably the most crowded area for fireworks. Be there as early as 8pm to get your spot.

2 Merlion Park
Singapore iconic attraction is located in this tourist hotspot. Near the launch area and for those who wants to be as close to the action as possible

3 One Fullerton
A popular place for fine dining. It has a linear footpath outside the restaurant and probably a busy one for the night. Great place for capturing MBS and Singapore Flyer as your background. Might get a bit crowded due to the limited space to walk.

4 Clifford Pier
Smaller compared to One Fullerton. The open space in between Clifford Pier and One Fullerton should provide you with a vantage point to view the fireworks.

5 The Promontory@ Marina Bay and The Lawn@ Marina Bay
Catch the Happy 3+65 performances at The Promontory@Marina Bay. For more elbow space and a great view, this should be the area to be in. If you want a perfect picnic spot, The Lawn@ Marina Bay would be one. Lastly if you happen to work in MBFC with a view of Marina Bay, consider going back to the office to catch the Fireworks at a different perspective!

6 Waterfront Promenade
The Boardwalk all the way through to Marina Bay Sands would be a good spot for fireworks. It is also a good spot for those who wish to do some last minute shopping at MBS before the year ends.

7 The Helix Bridge

The award winning bridge between MBS and Marina South. Be there early if you would like to use one of the 5 extended platform for a better view.

8 Youth Olympic Park
A smallish park next to The Float@ Marina Bay . The viewpoint would be similar to what you would get on The Float@Marina Bay.

Fireworks @ Marina Bay Map

Other Areas
A Gardens By the Bay
MBS will be in the foreground instead of background. Enjoy the serenity of nature while you are there.

B Marina Barrage
Similar to Gardens. On elevated ground, you can even capture the Singapore Flyer and the City Skyline in your photos. Great spot for picnic as well.

C Bay East Garden
A less quiet alternative, but never the less anticipate a crowd. Best place for a wide lens camera as you can capture Gardens by the Bay, MBS, Singapore Flyer, the city skyline and the Fireworks all in one place.

D F1 Pit Lane
Near the Singapore Flyer. This is also a great spot to get up close and personal with the spectacular fireworks display.

* Remember your tripods if you intend to catch the fireworks in action! If you think you have a great photo, submit it to the photography contest at MB Singapore Countdown
