If you had noticed the facade of Conrad, you can spot a distinct figure 13 on it. It was quite odd to have the number 13 in the hotel given its western meaning. However, in Chinese Feng Shui Context, the number symbolises 'perennial growth' and 'definitely vibrant' when converted to Chinese.
With that in mind, let us bring you 13 reasons why you should stay in Conrad for a staycation base on our own recent stay at Conrad. This experience is base on staying in an executive room with Executive Lounge Services.

Our rooms were the newly renovated Asian theme Executive rooms. The rooms are set in hues of brown and have a footprint that is considerably large.

Each room comes with a seating corner by the large floor to ceiling windows for you to indulge in the view.
The beds were a delight to sleep on. Not too hard nor too soft, sleep is always a bliss. To make it even more appealing, you can opt for your own choice of pillows if you are not satisfied with what is provided. There are up to 15 different types of pillows you can request for the stay at Conrad.
Each room comes with en suite with a marble-clad bathroom that includes a separate shower stall with rain shower and a large bath. The bathroom itself is as spacious as the room.

The rooms come with a full set of toiletries and enough towels to last for a short stay. Complimentary tea and coffee machine are also provided.
If you are a tourist or using Conrad for a business trip, you would be glad to know that stationery are provided. Universal power sockets, USB ports and the intelligent lightning system serves to make your stay more comfortable. There is also a safe provided in the room.
Bathrooms are provided together with usual amenities such as slippers, hairdryers and iron. You may also opt for Complimentary pressings for a maximum of 3 items per stay if your package allows.

3 The View
The expansive views from the rooms are also a delight. For executive floors, you get a room on a higher level which gives you a view of the Marina Skyline.

Some rooms will also allow you to have a peek at the Singapore Flyer and Gardens by the Bay.
It is not surprising to sit by the window, have a sip of tea and watch the world goes by.

4 The Special Touches
It is in the little things that make a hotel stay special. With that regards, Conrad achieves the accolade with its subtle yet exquisite touch.
The rooms came with a complimentary bowl of fruits and a box of chocolates. For VIP guests, there is also a platter of chocolates and biscuits to entice your sweet tooth.
Needless to say, the boys enjoyed their sugar rush.
Another charming gesture is the birthday cake. Knowing that we are celebrating birthdays at the hotel, Conrad kindly provided us with a cake for the day.

For the running enthusiast, there is also a planned route for you that you can take along for the run along Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay.

With the advancement in technology, integrating it to the room is a bonus. Using the Hilton Honours app, you could do things like unlocking your doors with a digital key, order room services, request for housing and more.
What's more, for Premium Wi-Fi package, you will have access to Pressreader. You can choose to download over 2000 magazines and newspaper for you to read. These downloaded magazines will still be available even after you leave the hotel. So essentially, you can get a whole library at your fingertips.

If you are planning a Stay-cation, opt for the executive benefits package. Comparatively to a normal room, you will get a lot more for your bucks.
Unlike other hotels, there are 2 lounges in Conrad. One is for kids and adults above 12 located on the 31st floor, and the other is a lounge by the pool on the 4th floor.

Afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and cakes are served from 230pm to 430pm. In addition, you can indulge in evening drinks with hor d'oeuvres from 530pm to 8pm. All-day tea, coffee and soft drinks are also available to 10pm.
With these added benefits, your meals are taken care of during your stay.
If the adults want a little more 'me' time, head to the 31st executive floor.
With a library and separate sitting area , it would make a nice place to retreat in the evening.

The must-try dish for breakfast would be the Kaya Toast. With a vast selection, you would be spoilt for choice for breakfast.
Do note the dress code when dining in Oscar.
Breakfast is available at the executive lounge. The choices there would be a scale down version of what you can get from Oscar. For families, dining at Oscar would be a better option.

10 Festive Dining
With Christmas around the corner, if you are booking a staycation in December, be prepared to feast like a king.
There will be special seasonal dishes to mark the Christmas celebration at Oscar from 1st Dec with starters such as King Crab Salad, meaty mains with Whole Roast Turkey served with trimming and seafood delights such as spicy Chilli Crabs at Oscars.
Enjoy an Oriental celebration at Golden Peony. Celebrity Chef Ku and Executive Dim Sum Chef Yue will be injecting festive fun into their award-winning Dim Sum offerings with highlights like Turkey Siew Mai with Black Truffle and Turkey ' Bo Luo Boa' from 22 to 25 Dec

You could shop till you drop at the Megamalls of Suntec City, Millennium Walk and Marina Square at your doorsteps, head to Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Flyer to explore , take a heritage walk to the Old Parliament House , Capitol Theatre and St Andrew's Cathedral, spruce up on history at the National Museum, visit a local Firehouse, catch a play at Esplanade or even head to Orchard via the MRT to explore the Christmas light-ups.
