WWE Live Singapore Highlights

WWE Live in Singapore full report!
Wrestling fans in Singapore have a treat with WWE Live in Singapore.

When I was much younger, WWE was a favourite weekend TV sample with The Rock, Shawn Michaels and Austin 3:16 as some of my favourite stars. Most of the stars that I knew had left the business. Nonetheless, it was a childhood dream to be able to watch one of these matches live.

Last evening, the dream come true. Together with the youngest lad in the family, who incidentally is a huge fan of current WWE generation, we headed to Singapore Indoor Stadium for our first WWE Live experience.

It was a blast. The arena was packed to the brim. The show was fun to watch with the crowd as boisterous as they could be. The latter a surprisingly treat given that Singaporeans are known to be a quiet lot.

There was a total of seven matches for the evening including some title fights. Here are the highlights.

6 Man Tag
AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley

The night kicked off with a 6 man tag. Right from the start, we could tell who are the Faces ( Good Guys)  and who are the Heels (Bad Guys)

In a 6 man tag, all hell broke loose. The obvious Crowd favourite was AJ Styles. Thus when the team won, it was all cheers!

6 Man Tag

Winner: AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

Woman Double Match
WWE Woman's Tag Team The Iiconics vs Asuka and Kairi Sane (Non-Title Match)

Next up is the current WWE Tag Team Champion Peyton Royce and Billie Kay against Asuku and Kairi Sane.

The Champions immediately announced that this is a non-title match. Together with their antics, the boos were deafening around the stadium.

Overall, this match looks more like a comedy skit than a real match. Without the championship on the line, the champions look unprepared for the competition and lost.

Winner: Asuka and Kairi Sane

Single Match
Braun Strowman vs Cesaro
Braun Strowman
Next up, we have Braun Strowman vs Cesaro. This looks like a mismatch given the size of Braun. The big guy is double the size of Cesaro.

Cesaro tried his best with his acrobatic moves. In the end, it was no match for the giant.

Winner: Braun Strowman

RAW Women's Championship
RAW Champion Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss
The Man
Before 'The Man' Becky Lynch could make her entrance, she was ambushed by Alexa Bliss.

The Champion almost walked out of the match until she was taunted back by Alexis. The match was high octane and entertaining compared to the earlier match.

Becky prevailed in this entertaining match and retained her crown.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Raw Tag Team Championship
Champion The Revival vs Zach Ryder and Curt Hawkins

The Revival defends their title against an energised team of Zach Ryder and Curt Hawkins. The Duo tried their best to dethrone the champions. Dirty tricks prevailed and The Revival retains their championship.

Winner: The Revival

WWE United States Chamionship: Triple Threat Match
Champion Ricochet vs Samoa Joe vs Robert Roode

We were not expecting this triple threat match. The champion Richochet had a lot on his plate. His opponents were much bigger than him and both wanted his belt!

The best entrance for the evening would undoubtedly go to Glorious Robert Roode. What an Entrance!

It was a double tag against the smaller Richochet. Somehow, he managed to pull the rabbit out of the hat for a win!

Winner :Richochet

WWE Universal Championship
Champion Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura

The main event. This is the match we had been waiting for. The Universal champion Seth Rollins vs 2018 Royal Rumble Winner Shinsuke Nakmura. Support was strong for both camps.
Shinsuke NakaMura
Shinsuke came in with his deadpool inspired costumer. His antics matched the Wacky Marvel character to a T.

The biggest cheer of the night goes to Seth Rollins. His anthem Burn it down was chanted throughout the arena. What an atmosphere!

The match started cautiously with Shinsuke apparently taking the upper hand.

There was a few close call but Seth fought back. No dirty tricks here, pure heart.

In the end, the tables were turned and Seth finished off with his signature stomp.

The Universal Champion retained his title!

Winner: Seth Rollins

It was an awesome night to remember. In the end, we had made memories and had a great bonding session . Looking forward to future WWE Events in Singapore!
