Choo choo, all aboard the Disney Train
If you have been to Disneyland, you would know the iconic Disney Station would be your first photo-op stop. In addition, who can resist a ride around the park on the Disney train?
Lego has dropped a surprise on us with a new Disney Set (71044) that replicates the Disney Train and Station, a set that closely resembles the iconic Disney landmarks
With a massive 2925 pieces of bricks, this set also comes with a motorizes locomotive and a 20-piece track. You get the station building and five mini-figures including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale and Goofy.

In addition, you can use your smartphones to control the train direction ( forward or backwards) and produce sound effects!

The Station interior is well detailed with a chandelier, tower room and other equipment.

The station building comes in an impressive 39 cm tall, 36 cm wide and 16 cm deep. The train measures 12 cm tall, 78 cm long and 8 cm wide.

We reckon that this set will appeal to Disney fans, locomotive devotee, modular enthusiasts and even scalpers. The set would retail for US$329.99. No news on the official price in Singapore, but from conversion and tax, it would be at about SGD $499 thereabouts.

If you are a collector, you might want to get a set or two. Disneyland 100th anniversary would be in 2055 and we think the price for this set would comfortably raise by 10 fold by then. While you are at it, get the LEGO Disneyland Castle too!
