Siglap Park Connector : Running Route
The East side has pockets of running routes waiting to be discovered.
Last weekend, we headed to Siglap Park Connector for a run.
The Siglap Park connector stretches from Bedok Reservoir estate to East Coast Park. It is a relatively straight route, cutting through Kembangan, Telok Kurau and Marine Parade before reaching the beach. A loop from the PIE to the beach would be about 5.8km

Siglap Park Connector Run
Total Distance: 5.8km (Loop)
Start Point : Telok Kurau Park
Route: End to end Loop to Bedok Reservoir Estate and East Coast Park
I started the run from Telok Kurau Park. You could start your run anywhere along the stretch for a similar loop. The first part of the run is towards Bedok Reservoir Estate.
Unlike the earlier runs, there are fewer distractions along the way.
Telok Kurau Estate |
You would be running through landed estates along Telok Kurau and a mix of Condos and HDBs at Kembangan.
Thian Ling Chong Toh Tong Temple |
Towards the end of the Telok Kurau estate, there is the Thian Ling Chong Toh Tong Temple. This is a traditional temple that was build in 1953.
Cross the road to continue your run.
To reach the other side of Kembangan, just ran through the Kembangan MRT station.
Here, the landscape changes to a mix of private and public housing.
Kembangan Estate |
At the end of the path, you would reach the PIE.
PIE |
There is a connected bridge towards Bedok Reserviour Estate. This meant that residents, there have a straight path all the way to East Coast Beach if they choose to head out for a run.
Bedok Reservoir Estate |
If stamina permits, you can actually run all the way to Bedok Reservoir through Bedok Town Park. We will save that for another run in the future!
For me, this is where I u-turn and run in the other direction.
The run takes me back to Telok Kurau Park. I decided to head for a longer distance and run towards the beach.
St Patrick's |
Along the Marine Parade stretch, you will run past 3 schools, They are St Patrick's School, CHJI Katong Convent and Victoria JC. One of them is my Alma Mater. Can you guess which one?
End of Siglap Park Connector - ECP |
You could choose to cross the overhead bridge and head towards the beach at the end of the stretch. For me, it is the end of the road. This is where I make another u-turn and head towards my original starting point.
The best time to run will be either early in the morning before the sun rises or in the evening. Given its location, a late morning run can be scorching!

See you at the next run!
