REVIVE Healthy Snacks Review : Wholesome treats for Everyone

In the quest for healthy living, I am always on the lookout for healthy snacks.

In the past, chips and chocolates are my go-to snacks. This explains the expanding waistline. When you get older, this tends to be a concern. Being overweight is an issue, but eating unhealthy should be corrected immediately.

Thus when REVIVE offers us to review the range of Healthy Snacks, I could not refuse.

REVIVE has 3 different ranges of snacks. There are overnight oats, classic granola and natural nut butter. For this review, we tried the overnight oats and classic granola

OVERNIGHT OATS

Overnight Oats work great as a meal replacement and are best taken for breakfast. REVIVE has 4 different varieties that would work great for separate days of the week. To make these snacks, you would have to add milk or milk alternative and 50g of the packaged contents into a jar or bowl. Stir them well, refrigerate them overnight and you could have a healthy meal in the morning.

Overnight Oats Chocolate Bananas ($18.90)

Nutrition Facts (Per Serving)

  • Energy: 208.5 Kal
  • Protein: 7.6g
  • Total Fat: 4.2g
  • Total Carb: 27.7g

This is probably my favourite of the lot. Being a chocolate fan, this variant is best suited close to my taste buds.

The pack consist of rolled oat, instant oat, organic soybean, freeze-dried banana, monk fruit, chia seed and cocoa. In other words, it is a bowl of wholesome goodness for breakfast. Flavour is not too sweet and the banana bits are yummy.

Overnight Oats Peach & Cinnamon ($18.90)

Nutrition Facts (Per Serving)

  • Energy: 209.7 Kal
  • Protein: 7.6g
  • Total Fat: 3.9g
  • Total Carb: 28.1g

Peach and Cinnamon make an interesting blend for the tastebud. If you are a cinnamon fan, you would love this refreshing combination. This is a flavourful combination that goes well with the palate.

Overnight Oats Tropical Mango ($18.90)

Nutrition Facts (Per Serving)

  • Energy: 225.9 Kal
  • Protein: 7.2g
  • Total Fat: 6.1 g
  • Total Carb: 26.4 g
Personally, I am not a fan of mango. Nonetheless, for fruit lovers, this is a great option for them. The freeze-dried mango chunks are generous and refreshing. It does not have an overbearing mango taste, so for neutrals like me, it still works as an alternative.

It comes with rolled oat, instant oat, organic soybean, freeze-dried mango, monk fruit, chia seed, and organic desiccated coconut.

Overnight Oats Pina Colada ($18.90)

Nutrition Facts (Per Serving)

  • Energy: 226.8 Kal
  • Protein: 7.2g
  • Total Fat: 6.1 g
  • Total Carb: 26.5 g
To be honest, I do not know what is a pina colada, save for the track Escape (The Pina Colada Song) that was featured on Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Vol 1.

Apparently, Pina Colada is a cocktail mixed with rum, cream of coconut milk and pineapple juice! It is an interesting name for these Overnight Oats that is packed with organic desiccated coconut and freeze-dried pineapple chips.

Just remember to add milk instead of rum for this mix.

The Overnight Oats are all Vegan, Dairy Free, 100% natural with no added sugar.

CLASSIC GRANOLA

If you do not fancy waiting overnight for that snack, the classic granola is a great alternative. You can add milk or yoghurt with it for a meal, eat it right out of the bag as a snack or use it as a crunchy topping for your meals. Each bag is good for 5 servings.

Honey Granola + Pistachio & Puff Rice ($14.90)

Love this combination. It is not too sweet and the pistachio is generous in serving. The puffed brown rice makes the snack filling. The snacks are bite-size and 3 or 4 portions should suffice for a quick snack.

Chocolate Granola + Hazelnut & Cacao Nib ($14.90)

Together with the Overnight Oats Chocolate bananas, this chocolaty treat is my favourite snack of the lot. It also comes with cacao nibs which are small pieces of crushed cacao beans. Cacao nibs are low in sugar, a good source of fibre and protein and are packed with antioxidants.

With so many positive attributes, this nutty and slightly bitter treat is my evening snack while indulging in Netflix.

Match Granola + Cashew & Almond ($14.90)

The bitter floral mix of matcha, oats, cashew and almonds would appeal to those with neutral tastebuds. It's acceptable as a snack and the wife's favourite!
