How to use this map?
This map indicates the dates where carriers had been to before they are diagnosed. If you have been to the affected areas during the period, do self-monitor for 14 days. There is NO need to avoid these places now as the virus would not survive long outside the body and the risk of infection is low.

EPICENTER
![]() |
In the epicentre, the number of officially infected rose to 1900 with 56 death. At least 237 patients are in critical condition according to China state-run Xinhua news agency ( Source: CNN) The actual number would probably be higher given reports of the understaffed medical team in Wuhan and the lack of lab tests. There are unverified reports that the number could be much higher than stated. The closure of major attractions like Disneyland Shanghai reflected the possibility that the virus had accelerated beyond Ground Zero in Wuhan. Cities around Wuhan are locked down, affecting 35 million people.
A worrisome note is that we are in the midst of Lunar New Year - That would traditionally mean large migration of people within China and within countries. Reports of the virus confirming in Asia regions and even as far as the United States.

WHAT IS CORONAVIRUS?
![]() |

There are currently 7 strains of Coronavirus. The latest strain WuhanVirus is known as the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-n-Cov). It belongs to similar viruses such as MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV. These family of the virus are known to be original from wild animals and are transferred to humans via food or touch.
The virus can mutate to human transmission through
-The Air (cough/sneeze)
-Close Contact (Touching / Shaking hands)
- The object of Surface with Viral Particles
There are currently no specific treatment or vaccinations for Wuhan Virus. Affected persons will heal naturally. The virus would be most difficult in the elderly or those with existing immune or respiratory problems.
